At St. John’s United Church of Christ, our faith may be 2000 years old, but our thinking isn’t. At St. John’s we acknowledge the past as we anticipate the future. We continue to strive to find innovative ways to bring the word of God to our community and let everyone know that ‘God is still speaking’ at St. John’s United Church of Christ.
We follow Jesus. Jesus never rejected people, neither do we…God is Still Speaking! St. John’s is a community of faith which is open to everyone. I suppose you have heard that before, only to attend a church and find out that you feel like the only person it is not open to once you’ve been there. Sharing the love of God with all people is our only true mission.
No matter where you are in your life’s journey. No matter what things have happened to you or what you feel you have done `wrong’, St. John’s is a place where people gather to celebrate the forgiving and healing love of God in Jesus Christ.
Young and old alike gather around the Lord’s Table to taste and see the goodness of God. Infants and adults are welcomed in the waters of Baptism to a conventional relationship with God. Men, women and children share God’s word with us as we worship.
If you are looking for a place where you can come as you are, climb up into God’s lap and hear and feel and know his grace and love; you are welcome to join us at St. John’s. It truly is a place where God is still speaking.
